Mississippi Style Roast
Cooking Instructions:
- Heat up large skillet on high. Add oil to hot skillet. You want the pan really hot so the bison will brown or “sear” the meat quickly. Allow the roast to cook for 2-3 minutes on each side or until its golden brown. (If you are in a hurry or don’t want to dirty an extra pan this step can be skipped).
- Transfer roast to slow cooker. Sprinkle packet of dry ranch dressing and onion soup mix over pot roast. Place stick of butter on top of roast. Finally place peppers and their juices on and around roast.
- Cook roast on low for 8 hours
- After it has cooked, take 2 forks and shred the meat.
- Serve meat with cut up peppers if you want an extra kick of flavor.
